I am pleased to announce that the first tasting of the William & Mary Wine Society will take place on Thursday, September 10 in the York Room located on the first floor of the Sadler Center at 8:00.
In order to attend, you must be over 21 years old as well as sign up for a membership fee for the semester. The membership rates are $35 for students and $45 for faculty, which will entitle you to attend all wine society events this fall. In addition, there will be small fee for this tasting, $15 for both students and faculty.
This first tasting will center on a brief description of different grape varietals as well as teaching how to taste wine properly as well as critically. At this point, we are hoping to have six different wines which will aid in discovering different grape varietals as well as different countries (Old World vs. New World). No prior experience is expected for this first tasting, as it will be a basic introduction to wine.
If you are interested in attending, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The first fifteen people to contact me will receive guaranteed spots at this first tasting.
WHEN: Thursday, September 10 at 8:00
WHERE: York Room, Sadler Center
COST: $15 tasting fee + $35 ($45 for faculty) for semester membership rate.
